It's seem been sometime i have not visited the Hong lai Restaurant which so near to my house at Setapak. Normally when im wanted to tapao for diner, i would do it at 7.00pm or 6.45pm as they just open for business and its not many people around.
But yesterday, im was on recovery mood (ran Energizer Night Race 2010 on Saturday night) and im overslept from 6pm until 8.30pm. i had 1 "tai pao" around 5.00pm and im feel hungry.
Initially i decided to have Ulu Yam Loh Mee but the kitchen was stopped cooking at 9.00pm... Argh... why so bad luck... not everyday i have the sudden urge to eat Loh Mee...
Thinking what to eat next... since today is my leave day, i got no hurry to have my diner. So i decided to tapao Wan Tan Hor at Hong Lai Restaurant... i know its going to be a long waits... a really long waits just for a WanTanHor.. since im just wake up not long ago, perhaps im have the patients to wait...
Ordered my WanTanHor ard 9.10pm... just waiting... and enjoying the flame of the cooking by the boss...
Flame.. Flame...
Business are good as usual... im still waiting...
Japanese crew TV filming on the charcoal cooking
Filming continue...
Basically its just a one way of filming...The middle-man, the translator, just asking for the permission from the boss and boss were agreed and the filming begin! The Camera-man just filming what he want and the boss just cook as usual rushing for customer's orders which include mine too...
Lastly the main topic of the filming is coming:
A pretty Japanese babe with Charcoal behind walking to the boss and delivery charcoal to boss...
Sorry, no clear pic, as taken with my camera phone...
The Japanese babe delivery a charcoal to the boss and its end of the story.. No interview with boss, just videoing around... Perhaps im also in it... haha...
when their filming done, my order was done too...
I was wondering, are the Charcoal brought by the Japanese babe from Malaysia? The famous Sepatang in Perak nearby Taiping which produce charcoal and export to Japan...
Anyways, its an awesome experience to order diner at Hong lai Restaurant, got the chance to see Japanese TV crew to filming and the pretty Japanese babe delivery the charcoal to the boss...haha
